A really good day.

Did you ever have a really good day? How about a really good weekend that just kept going on Monday? God has just backed up the blessing truck and unloaded on me. Saturday we had the Turning Hearts Tour, featuring Tyra Lokey, and Joel Engle. It was a day of great music, worship, and just plain connecting with my family. If you get a chance to get to one of these, let me tell you that it will be worth clearing anything else you may have off your calendar. Your teenagers and family need you to be at this conference.

OK, moving on...After the THT, and the time we had there, I had an engagement session with Ricky & Landria (scroll down for their pics), we talked about their wedding, then Karla came by to talk about her wedding. Saturday afternoon I got a call about a family portrait in July, with about 30 in the portrait. The Dad/Granddad has cancer, and this will be a very special time together for them. Sunday we had a great time of worship at FBCJ, some wonderful fellowship with others at dinner that night, and got to spend time with Lauren as she was home from GC&SU. I mentioned to Julie Cook, our Frontline choir director that I'd be thrilled to be able to tag along to Apalachia in June with the teenagers. We got a call today that she had worked that out, and I am able to go. I have always wanted to get to Apalachia, and maybe document some of the extreme poverty there so others can see it, and be motivated to help. I also got a call today that we have someone wanting to rent my Mom's house. It has been empty for a bit, and making the mortgage without rent coming in has been a hardship. Praise God for this! I talked with a company today that wants me to shoot for them in the Atlanta area on a pretty regular basis. That income will also be nice.

Sometimes I just have to stop & take stock of all that God has blessed me with. He really is good, all the time.
