Mountain City Tennessee Veterans Home
I spent last week in Elizabethton Tennessee with 40 teenagers from the Frontline Choir, from FBCJ. Here are a few images of the students ministering to the residents. This was a tough day for me. My Granddaddy served in WWII in the Philipines with the Navy. He was a Patriot in every sense of the word, and I saw him in these faces.

The hands raised are those that served in WWII. Some have been POW's.

This is a therapy dog that visits the residents. How could you not love that face?

This man is a former POW, who has performed on Broadway, done Vaudeville, and writen a song called "My Buddy". It tells the story of POW's that are missing their buddies, and how they looked out for each other by sharing whatever they had between whoever had need. If they had 1 potato, it was split however many ways it needed to be split to make sure everyone survived.

This is Ricky. He is one of my new class, and one great guy. He is the hardest working young man I have seen in a while. He worked the sound crew for us, but here is seen talking to the veterans. He admires them greatly, and I believe has a gift for ministering to them.

These faces all have a story to tell. What if we just took a few minutes one day to hear one?

The Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club was having an ice cream social for the vets this day. They do a great work also.
