Seniors!

Hey ya'll, I need about 10 senior reps for the high schools in Fayette County (Class of 2008). I'd like to have 2 each from McIntosh, Sandy Creek, Fayette County, Whitewater, and Starr's Mill. Each rep will get an extended session including indoor studio, outdoor, and location, with numerous clothing changes, looks, and the "wet look". They will receive an album with 20 pages of images to show, along with about 200 "rep" wallets to hand out. They will earn $25 credit with each referral that books with Turner Images, up to 9. At 10 the credit goes to $50. So if you refer 9 you have $225 credit, at 10 you have $500, and you get to keep the album.

Click here for a sample of an album.

So call me at 678-817-6569, or email mark@turnerimages.com if you are interested or if you know someone that may be!

What a weekend!

I am tired! I started at FBC Jonesboro on Saturday morning getting Sarah & Kelsey set up to hand out the B-Ball photos, then boogied to Zack Arias' studio in Atlanta. His workshop started about 9:30am and went until about 12:15am. That's right. The NEXT morning! But wow! Zack knows his stuff, no doubt about that. I got some good technique from him, and some good reinforcement of what I already do, and reminding of stuff I used to do, but got away from. Angeline was great to work with. She is a soon to be college grad, at only 20. She's going to be a player in the Atlanta music scene, I hear. The sandbag holding the stand is named Eric. He took care of helping us stay fed, coffeed up, and whatever else we needed. He's Zack's studio manager. You sure managed that light stand Eric! Here's some images...

I'm off to see the wizard!

OK, not the Wizard of Oz, but Zack Arias, Wizard of Lighting. I'm spending the day, and I mean ALL day from 9:30am to midnight or so, with Zack as he puts on a One Light Workshop. Then at midnight or so I'm headed to Macon for the Georgia Professional Photographers Association Winter Seminars for Sunday and Monday. We'll have an auction where I'll (hopefully) sell some old stuff, and come home with someone else's old stuff that I can use and make new again. Last year I came home with some chairs, including the very large wicker "Morticia" chair that a lot of you were photographed in.

So I'll be back in Tuesday morning, a head full of new knowledge and ideas! Get 'em while they're hot!

New ads are coming!

I have partnered with a firm that send out cards to prospective brides. Here's my card, front and back. What do you think?

Front (from the Whitman-Cavender Wedding)

Back (from the Collins-Smith Wedding)

I need to say that the images for the back were made by Lauren Wright, my P/T assistant of the last 2 years. She has been working hard at learning her way around a camera, and the images to make at a wedding. She is getting to be a pretty good second "shooter" I think, and I hope that soon we can announce that she is full time wedding assistant, and second photographer with Turner Images.

Kevin & Elizabeth

Kevin & Elizabeth Collins were wed on January 20, 2007 at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. It was a wonderful day with the sunshine streaming into the church windows, giving us beautiful light for the formal images. Here is a link to a show of just a few images...

January is a slow time for photographers.

Whatever. Tomorrow I am wrapping up shooting for the FCBJ Basketball league, and will have photographed 72 teams, and about 350 individuals. That makes for a LOT of back end production time. No down time for me.

Just one special image from last Saturday...

Kelsey was a great help. She answered customers questions, kept everything *very* organized, and was good entertainment too.
