Thursday at Daytona.

Nobody has died yet.

At least, not physically. Several have "died to self", and joined to Christ. I hope to do a group pic of everyone that has accepted Him this week. We'll see.

Wednesday! Golf Day!

We spent the afternoon at the Daytona Beach Municipal Golf Club. Some scenes...

tuesday. is it really only tuesday?

Naw, it's great! We had some great worship this morning,

with one of the leaders from another church here with us realizing that she had never asked Christ into her life. She was doing the work, but not under His power and guidance. She is now a child of God, and we rejoice with her.
The room is small (and very warm) for the large number of kids, but they are sitting on the floor, and not complaining about it at all.

Free time this afternoon at a well stocked pool.

This after noon we went for supper at, well, you Jonesboro FBC people will know where this is from.

My kid. I love her a lot.

And of course, the infamous Walmart trips.

Daytona Beach! Hot!

First day in Daytona at DM07 (Defining Moments 2007). Our them this year is "Not Ashamed" from Romans 1:16 - "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation of everyone who believes."

The view is from my room. Not bad for a sunrise pic one day, but that's not saying I'm going to get up early enough to get one! This is from about 10am.

Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church, Sunday night. After Shirley's we got to Wv to find a pizza party for us complete with some fantastic homemade desserts. Would have been rude not to eat them, right?



Ashton. This girl has touched my heart. She has something going on, probably neurological, that causes her to lose control of her body. It just goes limp. She may know it's coming, or may not. She has been to about 20 specialists over the last 2 years, and no one can pinpoint the cause. She has God, though, and is singing here that "You give me all I need, You always take care of me." It broke my heart. Her voice is amazing, and I don't use that word like kids do, to describe stuff that is really not. Her voice is truly an amazing gift from God.

Covered Bridge Festival, Elizabethton Tennessee

Here's a mix of 3 days images from the Covered Bridge Festival. The bridge you'll see is 125 years old, built for $3000, with only one span. We spent 3 days helping the vendors set up booths, relieve them for breaks, brought them food and drinks, picked up trash, painted faces at Kids Island, ran the hospitality room, helped the concert folks with crowd control and monitoring for tickets. I'm sure I have left some things out. We were up early 2 mornings, to help with the initial vendor move in and setup, and to do traffic control for the 5k race.

Early morning on move in day. These guys were excited to be up and on the street by 5:30am. Of course that meant that while everyone else was out in the heat, we got to go back to the hotel for a nap!
